The Global Network Blog

We asked the question 'What would make it better' and presented five overall recommendations for network members to consider. These were:-

  • Frameworks and policies which focus on at-risk people at the frontline , involving them in strategy and decision-making
  • Local participatory risk assessment and mapping to build multi-stakeholder understanding and collaboration
  • Resources reaching the frontline directly through innovative funding strategies
Building networks for participation, monitoring, coalitions for change and sharing of knowledge and good practice
  • Closer integration of DRR, Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) and Poverty alleviation means bringing decision-making processes closer to at-risk people.

If you had to choose just one, which would it be, or would you write your own?
