Celebrating the International Day for Disaster Reduction in Nigeria

Nigerian network member African Youth Movement was in school yesterday spreading the news about the International Day for Disaster Reduction. Owem Utu Robert was at Deo Gratis school in Abuja, leading activities and making presentations. His colleagues were also staging activities  in Bauchi, Bayelsa and Plateau states Great stuff Robert. Peter, also in Nigeria, wrote in to report that on a more sobering note a factory he visited on the same day had been devastated by flooding in the area. People’s efforts to progress are knocked back time and time again by the impacts of disasters.  Lets Step Up the demand for Risk Proof Development.
